The #1 thing to do to determine if you have a stalker.
Do you ever "just have that feeling" that someone is following you?
This is a more common problem than people think.
Yes, stalkers can be bold on occasion. One of my good friends experienced a stranger showing up at her house to express his undying love for her. I quickly helped her to secure her home with an alarm, cameras, and self defense tactics.
But more often than not, determining whether you have a stalker requires a bit of investigation. Here is the #1 thing to do to start determining if you have a stalker.
Commercial districts provide a lot of opportunities for stalker detection. Find a building with multiple entrances and exits. Go there and station yourself inside where you can see who is coming in behind you.
For example, the old Barnes and Noble book stores were ideal for identifying followers (even if they’re closed, you can use any multi-floor building, like a department store, coffee shop, etc.). You could go up the escalator, grab a book and stand on the balcony watching who came in. Take notice of who you see and what they are doing. It will probably be obvious who came in not looking for a book to read but rather looking for a person. But your work does not end there.
Then, go to another place where your stalker is less likely to have a reason to be. Station yourself in a position where you can see the entrance, all while making it appear as if you are any generic shopper. If you see the same person in the second store as you saw in the Barnes and Noble, now it is time to be suspicious.
The key to stalker detection is multiple sightings in multiple places over a period of time. Take note of your follower. Tall or short? Hair color? Clothes? Shoes? Etc. Those details are important!
Once you’re ready to get to the bottom of who they are, you can contact us here at Irregular Investigations. You’ll want to have those details on hand and not delay too long, since stalkers can become more brazen as time goes on. Do not live in fear - you deserve to live in peace and free of anxiety.
